Description: Lockheed Martin’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Global Supply Chain team is looking for a passionate, detail-oriented problem-solver to add to its Development team. As a Subcontract Manager (SCM), it will be your responsibility to facilitate the procurement cycle from beginning to end. THAAD is a fast-paced program with ample opportunities for growth and new experiences. Our team operates in a dynamic, cross-functional environment and strives to make all the pieces of the puzzle fit together to deliver quality products on time to our customers. The selected candidate will serve as the primary liaison between Lockheed Martin and our suppliers, communicating customer concerns, expediting delivery schedules, and tracking engineering revisions and material needs. As an SCM, you will have authority to purchase material on LM’s behalf. During procurement, you will be the primary LM representative—issuing solicitations, negotiating contract requirements, and managing supplier performance. You will regularly report supply chain metrics, risks, and strategic opportunities to senior-level internal customers. In addition, this position will offer the selected candidate opportunities for travel, personal development, a comprehensive benefits package and flexible work schedule.
This position will be responsible to drive mitigation activities across the THAAD Program Supply Chain. The position is to organize and execute activities between Global Supply Chain and Production Operations for the THAAD program. Duties include:
-Manage all material requirements, attend shortage meetings and assist the team and program with any supplier related issues.
-Interface with the site’s Leadership Team and all other departments including Engineering, Quality, Production Operations and PP&C for resource planning.
-Effectively communicate with Program Supply Chain and various customers.
-Travel will be required.
Subcontracts/Supplier Management or related
experience; Knowledge/familiarity with proposal
preparation, evaluation and negotiation; Ability to
work in a team environment and interface with
Program and Senior Management, as well as
Customer; Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
who can work independently and would be able to
assume a lead role; Ability to drive actions to closure
requiring interaction with subcontractor and other
functional areas; Effective communication and
presentation skills; FAR/DFARS experience, Able to
make strategic decisions, Computer proficient –
including MS Office applications
Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance
In addition to the Basic Qualifications above the ideal
candidate will have experience with:
Green Belt Certification
Knowledge/Experience with LMAP and CAP
Subcontract Management experience in Production or
