Lockheed Martin Quality Engineer Associate Manager - Grand Prairie, TX in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer Associate Manager for a position in Grand Prairie, TX. Responsibilities include:

Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.

Supports Supplier IPT’s and various production sites with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging.

Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.

Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and ensures responsible parties meet commitments.

Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.

Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.

Manages the development, modification, application and maintenance of quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.

Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition / disciplinary actions.

Oversees collaborations with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

Monitors the division and implementation methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

Manages the design and analysis of inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; the, conduct of quality assurance tests; and the performance of statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

Monitors the audit of quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

May oversee specialization in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.

May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

Basic Qualifications:

Technical Engineering degree at the Bachelor level or above

Must have an Interim Secret clearance and have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance

Knowledgeable of AS9100 standard and implementation of Quality Management System

Experienced as a team lead and facilitator

Experience implementing material review boards and dispositioning non-conformances

Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test of manufactured products (electronic assemblies)

Experience in making risk-based data driven decisions

Advance understanding and experience doing root cause analysis and corrective action planning

Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques

Knowledge of Configuration Management and control processes

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Demonstrated presentation skills

Ability to travel

Desired Skills:

Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product / performance specifications and other systems integration technical data

Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification

Special Process Engineering experience

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

SAP Application experience
