Lockheed Martin Market Research Planner / Dallas, TX in Grand Prairie, Texas
Description: The Market Research Planner will support the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) Strategy & Business Development Capture Excellence organization by conducting competitor and customer intelligence research and by providing support, coordination and facilitation of color team reviews. This position requires the willingness to think strategically and creatively, are comfortable with ambiguity, enjoy being part of a team, are driven to learn and explore new areas and have skills in using analysis and logic to solve complex problems. Responsibilities include:
Leveraging subject matter experts, subscription services, public domain and other resources to develop insights into customer behaviors and competitor technical and business strategies.
Analyzing and consolidating Competitive Intelligence (CI) insights into studies that support active and pending capture campaigns, color team reviews and Position-to-Win recommendations.
Teaching new analysts how to conduct CI and mentoring them through the process.
Updating and maintaining Competitive Intelligence briefs for the Market Intelligence Reports SharePoint.
Guiding capture teams through color team preparation to ensure proper execution.
Facilitation of Black Hats, Customer Value Proposition Workshops, Strategy Workshops and Gold Team Reviews to include customer and competitor read-ahead materials.
Other duties as required.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4 years of professional experience; or 2 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Ability to successfully interface with mid- and senior-level leaders is a must.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Experience working within a multi-discipline team environment.
Use of analysis products to support key decisions and conclusions.
Strong written oral and communication skills.
Excellent proficiency with MS Office.
Travel as required.
In-depth knowledge of the Lockheed Martin color team review and capture process.
Prior experience participating in and facilitating/scribing color reviews.
Prior experience conducting competitive intelligence studies.
Ability to manage multiple competing demands and requirements in a constantly changing environment.
Knowledge and understanding of the MFC portfolio of programs, products and technologies.
