Lockheed Martin Contracts Negotiator Senior in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: MFC is seeking a Sr. Contracts Negotiator for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support the THAAD Program Capture pursuits with contract administration, negotiations, metrics, and future contract planning. Duties include:

Provides proposal preparation, contract negotiation, administration assistance for the programs and special projects as assigned.

Develops and applies solutions to unusually complex problems which require the use of a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.

Solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions.

Reviews and evaluates customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts; provides risk assessments and offers alternative approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language.

Evaluates and coordinates proposals; investigates and reconciles significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc.

Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached during negotiations.

This position will require travel.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 6 years of professional experience or 4 years of professional experience with a Master's degree

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Prior Contract Negotiation experience

Microsoft Office experience

Electronic Contracting Environment (ECE) skills

Desired Skills:

Incentive Fee Contracting knowledge of both Cost Type and Fixed Price arrangements

MDA (Missile Defense Agency) or THAAD experience

Prior proposal experience with multiple contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF and CPIF)

FMS Experience

Should have the ability to learn new skills and ability to research difficult issues

Should be detail oriented and able to work in a virtual team environment

Ability to engage in routine and unique problems / issues to help develop solutions for multi-million dollar complex contracts

Ability to travel
