Under general direction of the Vice President, GPO Operations and Services, responsible for the management and oversight of GPO contract operations. Works cross functionally to ensure successful delivery of all GPO deliverables, including the management of GPO operations associates. Continually refines processes and assists with the development of tools to increase efficiency and maximize profitability. The Sr. Director, GPO Operations will identify opportunities and recommend “best practices” for workflow activity, identify automation and collaboration to support and drive contract pull through. The Sr. Director, GPO Operations must be able to work strategically and also deeply understand and manage operational tactics. Responsible for the administration of all GPO contractual deliverables. Responsible for implementing GPO strategies and deliverables, both short and long range, to ensure the profitable growth and expansion of company offerings. Responsible for implementing standard operating procedures and communication processes to ensure all GPO deliverables are met in a timely, cost effective, and efficient manner. Establishes appropriate reporting and monitors profitability and revenue aligned to GPO contract deliverables. Provides leadership and responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of new tracking mechanisms to aide in GPO contract execution and pull through. Works closely with GPO leadership to develop, implement, and execute new revenue opportunities. Responsible for operational customer interactions. Serves as subject matter expert to both physician and manufacturer clients. Responsible for the performance of GPO Operations associates, both people leaders and individual contributors, including internal development and cross-training, individual performance appraisal and management, activity scheduling and performance metric development, management and reporting. Develops repeatable implementation processes that can be expanded and executed against future projects. Responsible for the collaboration with other SPS divisions including Analytics, Meeting Planning, Sales, Corporate Accounts, Finance, Membership, and Marketing. Responsible for the continuous interoperability with Sales Management and Sales Operations. Responsible for the oversight and improvement of GPO Contract Management Processes, and coordination of the development of new tools and processes to manage GPO contracted deliverables. Represent GPO Operations at ION Meetings and other industry events. Serve as business leader for GPO Analytic needs including the Scorecards and any GPO contract analytics. Work directly with IQAnalytics/ EIT to ensure appropriate functioning and updates to business analytical tools and reports. Responsible for cross department project management of any assigned strategic projects and/or deliverables. Performs related duties as assigned by Vice President, GPO Operations and/or GPO Leadership. Interacts with project sponsors, stakeholders and various project members to ensure that specified business needs are met; assists in the post-implementation analysis to ensure that requirements are fulfilled. Qualifications: Requires specific training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through an advanced degree, usually resulting in a Master’s Degree or equivalent professional experience. Requires ten (10) years progressively responsible related experience, including experience managing a team. Excellent understanding of GPO Operations and contract pull through and execution. This individual must have proven experience developing customer facing tools and successful implementation of these resources. Must have a strong attention to detail and focus on problem solving and solution development. This individual must work effectively individually as well as in a team environment. The Senior Director, GPO Operations must motivate others in the department to achieve both team and Business Unit goals. Provide strategic planning which includes identifying, communicating, and direction critical activities that will enhance operational performance Must understand and assist with managing department financial metrics. Including revenue tracking and reporting, OPEX management, and budgeting. Strong analytical skills, must be able to provide direction and oversee implementation of business analytical solutions. Understanding of GPO contract operations and sales operations. Ability to maintain a mature, problem-solving attitude when dealing with conflict. Interest in and enthusiasm for automation of solutions and its potential for improving departmental and inter-departmental efficiency. Well organized with proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to facilitate organizational change. Ability to use an analytical and systematic approach to issue resolution. Ability to work as an integral part of a team including Lead role. Ability to give clear, concise explanations or instructions - both orally and in written form. Strong presentations skills. Ability to make clear, effective presentations to both small and large audiences. Ability to facilitate customer oriented meetings.
