The Test Support Engineer II provides mid-level Engineering support to the operations business unit and departments by troubleshooting standard problems, performing test equipment calibration and repair assistance, creating / implementing test procedures and instructing test technicians in techniques to resolve issues in an effort to achieve FMF’s business plan and objectives.
Test Program and Procedure Development and Support.
Test Equipment Repair Parts Purchase Recommendations.
Test Equipment Development.
Involved in maintenance and control Test Equipment Calibration and Repair activities.
Test Equipment Calibration and Repair.
Capital Test Equipment Purchase.
Support Production Test Activities, New product setup, programming, engineering change orders and process improvement implementation.
Write and modify test procedures for testing and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies.
Stays abreast of state of the art, technical and equipment issues through training and self development.
Participate and contribute to a team environment within the organization.
Support Test Technicians by troubleshooting and instructing technicians to resolve issues.
Support Test Technician repair activities as necessary.
Support Operations department’s performance goals and objectives.
Adhere to internal ethics, procedures and external regulations and laws.
Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Educational Qualification: AS / BS in Computer Science and / or Electronic Engineering Technology experience
5-10 years applicable experience
Technical Electronics and Mechanical as required by position.
Working experience on Windows environment for operations and infrastructure support
Able to troubleshoot complex issues and determine root cause. Top level, LRU, SRU down to electronic component on a circuit board.
Identify opportunities for automation of existing test processes.
Able to troubleshoot complex issues and determine root cause.
Clear and Concise communication and documentation of problems and solutions.
Attention to detail and drive to continuously improve.
Assist in transition on product from design to production, anticipate and prevent production issues and risks.
Desire to remain aware of state of the art, technical and equipment issues through training and self development.
Aware of applicable regulations and laws.
