Defense Contract Management Agency Quality Assurance Specialist in Fort Worth, Texas
This position serves as a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) in Quality Assurance (QA)in the operational group of a Contract Management Office (CMO), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). Serves as the focal point for all DCMA QA technical matters, and for implementing new directives, databases, and policy. Additional vacancies may be filled from this announcement.
A technical assistance and process integration. Serves as the CMO focal point providing senior technical assistance and guidance to the Operations Group team members regarding complex problems in the quality functional area.
CMO focal point for HPIs. Serves as the CMO?s senior point of contact concerning HPI and related performance measurements for assigned team/group.
Internal Review. Develops and coordinates MCRs in accordance with the CMO Annual Self-Assessment Report (ASAR) guidelines.
Application of regulatory guidance. Studies regulatory issuances from headquarters.
Trainer, Mentor and Alternate QAS. Assists Keystone Interns and new QASs in obtaining all Level II training.
Conditions of Employment
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. One(1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service.
Examples of specialized experience: Designing, planning, and implementing a risk management program for Overhaul Maintenance Modification and Repair (OMMR) within various facilities; Reading blueprints, Technical Data Package reviews, and Material Review Boards in order to identify areas of deficiency or non-compliance and recommending corrective action.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
