Candidate must have knowledge of Custodian practices and mortgage processes with general office skills. Must be able to manage multiple deliverable and highly motivated to support the line of business. This is a production driven environment that requires a 24 hour service level agreement turnaround time. This position may require standing for long periods of time and moving collateral files. Candidate must have working knowledge and recognize common collateral documents. Successful candidate must also have the ability to monitor email request, review documents for completeness, perform system update and maintain high productivity standards. Successful candidate must be adaptable to change quickly and with short notice

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing Trailing documents to verify the integrity of them in the system.

  • Sorting collateral files/documents received, scanning barcodes on collateral files with hand-held scanner and filing collateral/paperwork in appropriately

  • Replying to Outlook (e-mail) requests.

  • Vault processing and reviewing documents – filing documents numerically (sequences are up to 17 digits long).

A successful candidate will have the ability to file up to 200 collateral files/documents of paper per hour, with no more than 2% error ratio.


  • Ability to lift 30 pounds and adapt quickly with short notice

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, sorting, scanning and filing papers with personal information on completed loan documents

  • Ability to work with confidential, highly sensitive information

  • Ability to work in fast pace environment.

  • Ability to follow instructions accurately without deviation.

  • Ability to adhere to line of business procedure and guideline

  • Must have experience collateral document recognition.Perform various functions within the Mortgage Loan Operations (MLO) center, this may include review of the collateral file to ensure agency and bank guidelines are met. Releasing collateral files/documents, monitor email require to ensure all SLA are met, ability to work with confidential and highly sensitive information a MUST. Requires effective verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
