About the Position: This position is a TERM position NTE 4 years. It is a time-limited appointment and may be extended up to 6 years. Serve as a senior Operations Research Analysis professional. Responsible for a wide rage of complex recruiting, production and market missions.
Selects the appropriate automation tools, equations, and algorithms for their applicability to simulating recruiting operations.
Defines future environmental challenges and expectations for decision makers.
Independently analyzes problems.
Advising team members on the use of advanced mathematical, statistical, and analytical techniques.

Basic Requirement for Operations Research Analyst: Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in operations research; or a degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. (Copies of transcripts are required.)In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting studies of significant complexity to provide strategic or tactical decision support to senior leader decisions on national recruiting programs. Under the general supervision of a senior Operations Research Analyst, Working independently and/or as a member or leader of a team, providing input on identifying the issues or problem under study, selecting the design and methodology of the study, identifying and validating assumptions for the study, choosing the variables required for ad-hoc and standardized models, and performing data access and retrieval from databases. Tasks are completed with higher order of professional competence demonstrating responsibility for the thoroughness of the study, the significance of the findings, and the effectiveness of the presentation. Completed projects are primarily reviewed for adequacy in meeting the problem or purpose. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

This position will be filled on a TERM basis, not to exceed 3 years. This TERM appointment MAY be extended to the maximum period allowed by law without further competition (up to a maximum of six years). A term appointment does not confer eligibility for noncompetitive movement to other positions or for reappointment after separation from employment. Term employees are eligible for health and life. Two year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
