BD Diabetes Care is committed to improving the lives of patients with diabetes as well as offering best in class injection delivery devices, and related education and services, across the full continuum of care.

The RAM is responsible for the identification of top growth opportunities within their retail pharmacy and wholesale customers, development of strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers in the pharmacy, and overall management to drive BD business and achieve objectives. The successful associate will build and expand brand loyalty within their accounts to ensure that the pharmacy has the necessary resources to support and educate patients using the BD products. The RAM will understand the retail buying process and the numerous variables that impact the pharmacy filling and dispensing process, so they can appropriately position BD value to the customer. This position will also be able to implement via virtual sales calls (video/phone/etc.) to pharmacy locations of national accounts for specific BD programs.

  • Meet/exceeds sales objectives within assigned customers

  • Identifies and drives customer development through building relationships with key decision makers and influencers in the retail pharmacy setting within their geography.

  • Collaborates with Retail National and Regional Account Teams where applicable – especially if there are pharmacy locations that virtual calls are needed to further account initiatives, i.e. in the event of market access coverage changes, ensuring pharmacies have the necessary information.

  • Identifies and implements opportunities that are uncovered through analytics and / or customer interactions; with their specific customers and in support of other retail account managers

  • Builds account plans for each account that shows opportunities and Identifies/builds relationships with retailer leadership within their customer base, this includes category managers, clinical supervisors or clinical service pharmacists, that can help drive decision making and communication across stores. This includes presenting the BD value story at pharmacy district level meetings and supporting pharmacy conferences.

  • Understands market access and payer landscape within their assigned geography to appropriately position wins to drive pull through at the pharmacy level.

  • Builds relationship with regional chains within assigned geography that may not currently be covered by the retail team and partners both internally and externally to evaluate growth opportunities and service level needs.

  • Consistently exhibits a high level of proficiency and expertise in discussing and demonstrating BD products; as well as discussing related diabetes products including competitors within the pharmacy setting that may include private labels and other brands.

  • Act as the voice of the retail pharmacy within BD, proactively identifying, summarizing, and communicating pharmacy account insights and needs to BD leadership to help guide future messaging and program development – especially small/regional retailers

  • Completes all administrative duties in a timely fashion and works within specified budget

  • Additional ad hoc duties as determined by the manager (i.e. participation in special projects or new business development)

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required / Masters degree or RPh is a plus,

  • Must have at least 2 years of commercial success providing customer solutions preferably in healthcare or retail, pharmacy experience a plus

  • Ability to succeed in a matrixed and highly collaborative environment

  • Demonstrated expertise in identifying opportunities and growing sales in assigned customers

  • Self-starter demonstrating strong initiative and business acumen

  • Excellent relationship building skills; including communication and interpersonal skills

  • Works well in ambiguous environment; Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners, and find mutually beneficial ways to accelerate business

  • Comfortable with data analysis and financial negotiation

  • Strong fit with BD values

  • Must be willing to travel when necessary and have a clear driving record. (Travel is 10-15%)
