The SCA Customer Care Representative responds to questions via telephone and written correspondence regarding insurance benefits, contracts, eligibility and claims. Proficient in all basic service areas; performs some but not all types of moderately complex function. Must be able to successfully perform all the duties of the NGS Customer Care Rep I.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyzes problems and provides information/solutions.

  • Operates a PC to obtain and extract information; documents information, activities and changes in the database.

  • Thoroughly documents inquiry outcomes for accurate tracking and analysis.

  • Develops and maintains positive relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure requests and questions are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.

  • Researches and analyzes data to address operational challenges and service issues.

  • Provides external and internal customers with requested information.

  • Proficient in all basic customer service functions.

  • Knowledgeable in finance/financial systems to be able to assist with inquiries.

  • Receives and places follow-up telephone calls / e-mails to answer questions.

  • May require deviation from standard practices and procedures with the assistance of a computerized system.

  • Requires general knowledge of NGS services and contracts.

  • Seeks, understands and responds to the needs and expectations of internal and external customers. Required to meet department goals and expectations.

Qualifications

Hours: Monday through Friday 7:45am – 4:15pm Central Time

Work location: Denison, TX or Syracuse, NY

Start date: April 5, 2021

CSR I

Pay rate: non-negotiable

Denison, TX- $ 13.71

Syracuse, NY- $ 12.81

  • Requires a HS diploma or equivalent; up to 1 year of previous experience in an automated customer service environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

CSR II

Pay rate: non-negotiable

Denison, TX-$ 14.96

Syracuse, NY- $13.98

  • Requires a HS diploma or GED: 1 to 3 years of NGS Medicare experience in an automated customer service environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

CSR III

Pay rate:

Denison, TX- $ 16.79 Syracuse

NY- $15.69 non-negotiable

  • Requires a HS diploma or GED; 3 to 5 years of NGS Medicare experience in an automated customer service environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Prior experience with applicable systems required.

  • Previous experience in claims or customer service preferred.

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and databases required.

  • Has the knowledge and experience to complete assignments independently.

  • Capable of meeting time-sensitive deadlines and multi-tasking.

  • Strong organization and planning skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills including professional telephone etiquette.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Provider Enrollment – highly preferred.

  • Experience in Written Communication Skills – highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of Medicare systems preferred.

  • Knowledge of CMS (Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services) regulations and guidelines – highly preferred.
