Head of Launch Management / Operations - PL DT North America

Mission

Responsible for new product launch of the PL DT NA products as well as for the operational topics related to serial production at Drive Train product level in cooperation with the plant.

Tasks

Project lead for global Industrialization activities of Drive Train Control Units and electromechanical components for NA products. Lead, Coordinate and / or support complete industrialization efforts for introduction of new or existing production to designated manufacturing location

Plan, develop and realize manufacturing concepts considering aspects like

Layouts, production concepts, equipment specification, supplier integration, mfg. planning Total Cost of Ownership, Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0

Plan and track all the resources and functions needed for the industrialization Planning and calculation of required investments for equipment, periphery as well as

required operational workforce and start-up costs for new projects

Lead Operations portion of quoting process, working with finance, program management and manufacturing locations. Includes accurate costing of industrialization capital, tooling and plant resources based on lean and agile production concepts. To provide the ComTool.

To ensure Design for Manufacturing and robust processes in strong cooperation with Manufacturing Engineering and R&D experts

To ensure that required production capacity is in place to fulfill customer demands based on contracts with our Customers. To lead capacity increases when required.

Business Process Management (BPM) responsible for Global product line Operations New Product Launch. Responsible to review and implement changes related to Operations New Product Launches required in the BPM.

To Represent Operations central functions for customer communication, at plant visits and audits

To Support the Manufacturing plants to create a 5 years variable manufacturing cost roadmap that meets the business expectations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (Minimum)

Education / Certification Bachelor in Engineering.

Professional Experience

(Variety of functions, Variety of Business, General Management Experience)Experience in Automotive Electronic Manufacturing processes, Operations and Quality including Leading leaders experience.

Project and / or Process ExperienceExperience in New Product Launches and Processes related to Product Life Cycle from Operations perspective.
