Baylor Scott & White Health Vice President HTM in Dallas, Texas

The Vice President, Health Technology Management will oversee the use of medical devices for entire BSWH system. Incumbent will be the one to devise the company’s HTM strategy and ensure that all systems, personnel and procedures necessary to support its operations and objectives are in place. In addition, must have a solid HTM background and consistently keep up-to-date with advancements of the medical device field.

The essential functions of the Vice President of Health Technology Management include the following:

  • Develop and communicate the vision for the HTM organization.

  • Develop external business for HTM to offset its internal costs to the Baylor Scott & White Health foundation for a strong internal HTM program that supports all BSWH entities.

  • Set objectives and strategies for the HTM department, including Imaging, Biomed, Depot Repair Center, Scope repair lab and instrument sharpening.

  • Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.

  • Design and customize maintenance strategies to improve customer experience.

  • Approve purchases of medical equipment and software and establish partnerships with medical device providers; oversee the medical device networks and computer systems in the organization to ensure optimal performance.

The ideal candidate for this role must have experience leading a similar scope of work within HTM, implementation, field services support structure and be a polished leader with the ability to influence and advance strategies within a matrixed organization and demonstrate proven skillsets for driving results, utilizing data and establishing and refining metrics. The candidate must have an understanding of data analysis and budgeting and knowledge of The Joint Commission, local, state, federal codes, building codes, and industry standards in medical equipment and clinical engineering fields.
