Bombardier Business Aircraft’s Dallas Service Center currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Technical Instructor.
In your role, you will:
Work as part of a team dedicated to providing aircraft technical training on products manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace.
Use extensive aviation maintenance experience, technical training experience, and varied computer skills (text & graphics), to develop, deliver, and maintain state of the art multi-media and computer-assisted courseware packages.
Interact with customers and is focus on identifying and supporting customers’ needs and requests.
Provide training to the customers at varied locations and manages and resolves a broad range of issues in an autonomous manner.
Deliver aircraft system training in areas of expertise using a variety of instructional training aids in the classroom environment including the use of multimedia presentations (videos, slides, Power Point), aircraft components and aircraft simulators.
Have responsibility for the delivery of aircraft system training in areas of expertise using a variety of instructional training aids in the classroom environment. This will include the use of multimedia presentations (video, slides, Power Point), aircraft components and aircraft simulators.
Have responsibility for continuously upgrading his/her technical expertise, via cross-training activities, enabling assignment of a wide area of the aircraft system training responsibilities.
Maintain currency on assigned aircraft program through reviews of engineering reports, field service aircraft situation reports, OEM developed Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives
Assist in snag clearance and acceptance activities on applicable training devices in his/ her area of expertise.
As our ideal candidate,
You have at least 7 years related work experience in aviation maintenance and formal instructor training or practical experience delivering training
You have a Bachelors degree in aerospace or equivalent training required
You have working knowledge of mechanical / electronic/ avionics aircraft systems related to area of responsibility as well as prior instructional experience
You have the ability to resolve customer instructional issues autonomously
You have working knowledge in a variety of computer software programs, (Windows 2000 Suite, PowerPoint, MS Word, Framemaker, MS Photo Editor) in order to develop, revise and deliver training material and presentations
You have the ability to travel both domestic and internationally approximately 25%
You have a current passport or have the ability to obtain one
You have experience with Global XRS and/or Global Vision – preferred
You have Transport Canada AME or FAA A&P license - preferred
You have prior experience in the field of aviation ISD - preferred
