About the Role

This is a customer-facing role that requires strong relationship-building, communication skills, and thought leadership. As a member of the Analytics team, the Senior Analytics Consultant enables customer success and loyalty by serving as the primary point of contact for customer-driven analytics requests, providing data-driven decision support to customers, and serving as a leader amongst the rest of the Analyst team. This position works with other customer-facing roles to meet with the customer on-site, discuss the customer’s business challenges, and to develop and communicate the proper analytical insights about the customer’s facility management (FM) programs with a strong quantitative mindset. These insights are critical to helping customers achieve cost savings, improve asset uptime and optimize their FM spend. In close collaboration with customers, Account Managers, Account teams and other internal stakeholders, the Analytics Consultant ensures that the analytical and reporting needs of customers are met in a timely, actionable and value-oriented manner.

Essential Functions:

Meets with the customer on site to plan analytical projects, present findings, and guide the analytics roadmap for customer deliverables throughout the year:

  • Establishes a professional and trusting relationship with the customer, and serves as the primary point of contact for customer-driven analytical requests

  • Leverages consultative selling skills to understand customer needs and advise on analytical options to address the business questions/challenges discussed

  • Prepares and presents analytical and/or reporting results to customers and internal leadership in conjunction with the Account Manager and other members of the analyst team as needed

Provides decision support to customers by conducting hands-on, rigorous analyses

  • Proactively develops a strong understanding of the customer’s FM program and Vixxo’s operations

  • Collects analyze and interpret operational and financial performance data

  • Performs trend and root cause analyses to uncover patterns in customer performance data that guide business decisions and drive cost savings and operational efficiencies in the customer’s FM program

  • Builds compelling stories: Uses analytical findings and translates input from other team members (e.g., quantitative analyses from Data Scientists, feedback from Construction / Operations teams) into a well-thought presentation with specific and actionable proposals to the customer on FM strategies and solutions

Develops, implements, and maintains project roadmap of customer deliverables

  • Manages multiple projects and deadlines from infancy to end-state on time and to customer expectations

  • Partners closely with internal analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to guide action items and analytical deliverables that involve multiple inputs/owners

  • Regularly updates the customer on project status; and, as needed, works with the customer on prioritization of initiatives

Oversees the development and maintenance of all reporting required by the customer.

  • Defines and documents reporting requirements from the customer

  • Partners closely with other analysts, the Business Intelligence and Reporting Strategy teams to automate new and existing recurring reports

Applies a continuous improvement approach on all work performed

  • Proposes and implements reporting enhancements as needed in order to meet evolving customer needs

  • Drives improvements in the Analytics product offering by developing innovative analytical approaches and partnering with the Analytics team to support the creation of proprietary analytical solutions

  • Establishes a professional and trusting relationship with internal stakeholders to guide change

  • Drives improvements in data quality by partnering with Account teams, Operations, Finance, the Data Governance Office and IT to research data anomalies and recommend changes to data policy, processes, procedures, and systems.

  • Uses analytical findings to proactively identify risks and opportunities within the Vixxo organization, and works with key stakeholders to ensure those risks/opportunities are addressed

As an analytics consultant, this role will be part of the internal analyst team, and will also support internal operational analysis and data requests as needed

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or other related field required

  • 7+ years of experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting and presenting operational and financial data

  • 1+ years of experience in consulting or other externally-facing role preferred

  • Advanced skills in SQL, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

  • Experience developing queries to retrieve data from multi-object, relational databases

  • Hands-on work experience in statistical or heavy numerical analyses

  • Must be highly customer-centric, with strong relationship-building skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required: candidate must have the ability to clearly and compellingly articulate the strategic and tactical implications of analytical findings in a customer-facing environment

  • Ability to visually represent insights so they can be easily understood by customers and internal stakeholders

  • Ability to foster collaborative and professional partnerships and teamwork throughout the organization

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and develop clear objectives, goals, and action plans to meet or exceed customer expectations within a fast-paced environment

  • Exhibits a high degree of initiative, self-motivation and seeks to continuously learn and grow

  • Familiarity with budgets and forecasting

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with P&L reporting (including cost, margin, allocations, etc.)
