Robert Half International Sr. Fund Accountant in Dallas, Texas
Description This role handles financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations Requirements - The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Vow to meet business deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Must have excellent time management skills
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Microsoft Excel experience desired
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
ERP system experience
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
