Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineer to build applications and APIs that run on our best­-of-­class integration platform to interconnect cloud and enterprise data. These integrations have a merger & acquisition (M&A) focus and are mission ­critical to the success of Go-to-Market (GTM) and Business Operations. The ideal candidate should have the ability to create API led services using MuleSoft’s Mule Enterprise Service Bus or Anypoint platform to deliver fast, reliable, and scalable solutions.

humor. You must possess good oral and written skills and be able to collaborate effectively with other team members. Contribute ideas and provide feedback on how to continually improve the way we innovate solutions.

The Role:

  • Participate in discovery and design sessions

  • Document and present implementation designs to peers, stakeholders and review board

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to align on the development environment and launch dependencies.

  • Implement approved designs to meet integration requirements

  • Write, execute and maintain automated unit tests

  • Provide investigative support on new & existing integrations

  • Work with project managers to provide timely status and feedback to stakeholders

  • Align to Agile Methodology

  • Partner closely with BT M&A Business Architect, Product Managers, Deal Managers, QA Product Staff and other Business Technology teams to execute acquisition integration projects

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Java and web API development & implementation

  • 5+ years experience writing & running automated tests with JUnit and Postman

  • 5+ years experience working with XSL/T, XPath expressions & functions

  • 3+ years experience developing on the Mulesoft ESB or Anypoint platform delivering applications and APIs

  • Experience in small to large size implementations, working with geographically distributed teams

  • Strong knowledge of EAI/SOA best practices, development methodologies & standards

  • Has strong experience in the Application Integration Architecture, Solution Design, and Development using SOA/EAI solutions

  • Solid Programming skills using J2EE, Design Patterns, JMS, SOAP / REST Web Services, XSLT, CXF, JSON, Spring Framework, etc.

  • Experience with Mulesoft administration, configuration and tuning

  • Experience consuming open and/or private APIs, such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Salesforce.com, and Workday

  • Demonstrated experience implementing Mulesoft ESB architecture, rules, caching, etc.

  • Experienced troubleshooting Mulesoft ESB debuggers, flow analyzers and configuration tools

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus

  • Background in both agile scrum or kanban methodologies

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills and the ability to interact with all level of stakeholders, support personnel, and clients

  • Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills:

  • Have expertise in large distributed systems, legacy experience is considered an asset

  • Hands-on integration experience with Salesforce.com

  • Mulesoft Developer Certification, a plus.
