Who we’re looking for
The Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Information & Digital Systems (IDS) Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Service Catalogue Developer. The primary responsibility of this role is to be knowledgeable in data platform development in a Cloud Kubernetes environment using technology components and programming including but not limited to AWS, Kafka, NiFi, NoSQL database (eg.MongoDB), Containerization, Jenkins, CI/CD and Java. This person must have experience building large scale Data Ingestion, microservices based Data transformation, metadata driven development, data integration in/out disparate systems, metadata/lineage pipeline, data quality/profiling and audit balance control. A successful developer will build scalable data platform solution software in the mentioned environment leveraging the technology components. They will also provide guidance and services to key programs.
Reporting to the Technical Factory Owner – IT Service Delivery Management, the person in this role will build scalable data platform solution software in the mentioned environment leveraging the technology components while also providing guidance and services to key programs.
What you’ll be doing
Develop, enhance, operate and maintain in an Enterprise Data Platform comprised of but not limited to features such as Data Ingestion, Harmonization and Materialization in a Cloud based Kubernetes cluster with data services capability that can be leveraged for enterprise data consumption
Provide technical services to the Factory, across multiple initiatives and applications
Independently drive multiple work streams in parallel, managing cross functional contributions (Ingestion, Metadata driven development, Data Preparation using containerized microservices and consumption)
Develop and support services and integration patterns such as API, Events and Batch between enterprise systems comprised of but not limited to Mainframe, Salesforce, SAP, Informatica in a cloud infrastructure
Serve as a key contributor to a team of IT professionals focused on Data Platform development activities
Drive opportunities for increased efficiencies of the Enterprise Data Platform to be fully operational understanding means of automation, tuning and uplift of the data applications
Work with product designer and Business Systems Analysts to design data solutions supporting key initiatives
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience
Certification - ServiceNow Application Developer
Demonstrated years of relative work experience in similar field and/or industry
Proficient or good understanding of secure development design practice
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or working in similar cloud-based environment
Experience with software development
Experience designing and developing workflow automation
Experience developing service request catalog solutions
Experience developing platform integrations
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business need
Ability to travel up to 10%
Added bonus if you have
Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification
Experience working with Database platforms, i.e. Apache NiFi, Kafka, Java, MongoDB, etc.
