Purpose of Job

The Senior Recruiting Manager will manage the recruiting team and oversee APCON?s talent acquisition strategy. They will provide strategic leadership, support, advocacy, accountability, and vision to the recruiting team by evaluating, implementing, and improving recruiting practices and processes.


  • Actively recruits by identifying, sourcing, and screening top tier talent

  • Provides full life-cycle recruitment support to the Recruiting Team

  • Partners with Management to develop sourcing and recruitment strategies

  • Facilitates the implementation and improvement of recruiting practices and processes

  • Conducts weekly status meetings with the recruiting team to identify opportunities

  • Creates innovative approaches to attracting talent by leveraging advanced sourcing tools

  • Regularly reviews labor market to understand talent trends and implement change

  • Acts as a liaison between candidates, Hiring Managers, and Human Resources

  • Stays current on labor legislation to inform recruiters and managers accordingly

  • Builds our professional network through creating and maintaining professional relationships

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years Managing a corporate or technical recruiting team

  • 3+ years Technical recruiting experience

  • 2+ years Human Resources experience

  • Proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) (Required)

Core Competencies

  • Proven track record of engaging and recruiting technical and non-technical positions

  • Leadership skills and ability to communicate professionally across the organization

  • Knowledge of HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems

  • Ability to understand our talent gaps and actively engage with hiring managers to fill them

  • Excellent organizational, planning, presentation, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional customer support

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be able to work independently and as a team member

  • Ability to prioritize and be flexible in a fast-paced environment


  • Bachelor?s degree

  • PHR or SHRM-CP highly preferred
