About the Role
The primary role of the Sales Executive is to prospect for new clients in the US across the largest clients within the retail, convenience store, supermarket, and restaurant verticals. Once prospective clients have been qualified the Sales Executive will be responsible to turn these prospects into new client acquisitions. SE’s must possess a thorough knowledge of the signs market, the solutions/services the Company can provide, and develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape.
Prospect for, qualify, present and close new national clients across multiple market segments including (but not limited to) retail, restaurant, convenience, hospitality, food /drug, and finance.
Progress key opportunities through the pipeline from identified, validated, qualified and conditional agreement to closed sales stages.
Collaborate on marketing strategy to align with sales objectives, present customer solutions across all lines of business including signage, service, and lighting. Provide input for the development of added products or services to complement current offerings; such as general construction/remodeling capabilities
Develop sales strategies, design presentations, present winning solutions and write proposals that leverage our value proposition to address client requirements and objectives. Work collaboratively with the internal support teams to win in the marketplace.
Attend industry functions, trade shows, and conferences. Represent the Company and clearly articulate our value proposition to prospective clients. Provide feedback and information on the marketplace and emerging industry trends.
Leverage Salesforce to report pipeline development/progression weekly. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts and maintain pipeline reporting on a regular basis.
5 years minimum national sign related sales experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, proven sales results in the field may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Established relationships within the sign industry
Experience identifying and building relationships with senior level decision makers
Known for building relationships at multiple levels of an organization, including with key influencers
Proven record of building robust pipelines through growing, maintaining and leveraging personal and professional networks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Negotiation, conflict resolution, and proven close techniques.
Functional knowledge of technology needed to performance (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Salesforce, etc.)

Strong business acumen
Ability to handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing common ground and working through challenges to a positive conclusion
Proposal management/development experience, complex contract negotiating experience and strong client executive relationship management skills
Ability to thrive in a high demand fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
