TheRapid Response Team Registered Nurseperforms direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the acute and critically ill patient. * The RRT RN will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic. * The RRT RN will maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. * The RRT RN will participate in MCDH initiatives and process improvement. * The RRT RN will maintain high-quality age specific care for the adult population. * The RRT RN will support the mission, vision and values of the organization. * The RRT nurse may assume responsibilities and roles of the administrative supervisor per training and competency. * The RRT RN will evaluate and intervene in compromised patients according to the guidelines approved by the Medical Executive Committee * The RRT RN will assess, organize, intervene and evaluate when there is change in condition and collaborate with interprofessional team which may include coding patients according to the guidelines recommended by the American Heart Association.

_EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:_ * BSN * 3-6 years RN experience in critical care * Must be able to independently function as Code Team Leader
_LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:_ * Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact state license * BLS, by the American Heart Association * ACLS, by the American Heart Association * CCRN preferred
