Texas Health Resources Registered Nurse II - Behavioral Health FT Days in Dallas, Texas

Qualifications/Duties:

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work full time days in our Behavioral Health Unit.

Hours/Schedule: 1st Shift (36 hours per week) 7a-7p with rotating weekends.

Qualifications are as follows:

EDUCATION

*Associate's Degree in Nursing is required (RNs hired after January 2017 require completion of BSN within 2 years of start date. BSN Preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

*One (1) year experience as a clinical nurse (RN) required, or completion of an RN residency program.

1 year experience on the inpatient acute care adult behavioral health unit preferred.

LICENSURES/CERTIFICATIONS:

*RN-Registered Nurse licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing required upon hire

*BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire is required

*CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 Days of hire is required

*BCPMHN - Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Upon Hire is preferred

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Primary Direct patient care with 7:1 RN ratio on the acute inpatient behavioral health unit. Tasks include crisis management, medication management, team meetings, patient education and inter-professional collaboration and coordination of care
