Baylor Scott & White Health Mobile Android Developer in Dallas, Texas
The Mobile Android Developer creates and supports ejected apps that use both Kotlin and ReactNative code. The Mobile Android Developer will design and build advanced consumer applications for the Android platform and will collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. The Mobile Android Developer will also have the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:Perform unit test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability Work on bug fixing and improving application performance Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
The ideal Mobile Android Developer will hold a Bachelor's Degree combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience with at least 3 of those years focused on mobile development. The ideal Mobile Android Developer will possess a solid understanding of common software design patterns and SOLID principles and will have the ability to effectively communicate and interact with a diverse group of professionals in a collaborative, team environment. The ideal Mobile Android Developer will be proficient with Kotlin and have familiarity with ReactNative or be eagerly willing to learn ReactNative. The ideal Mobile Android Developer will also have the following skills, knowledge, and abilities, including but not limited to:Experience in using Android Studio or IntelliJ IDE Experience in using a distributed source code repository such as Git Experience with a Unit Testing Framework such as Junit Proficient with Kotlin, familiar with React Native a plus Proficient with the Android SDK and the Android application lifecycle. Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle
