Texas Health Dallas Seeks to hire a Medical Physicist Assistant to work Full TIme with in THR.

Salary range is Min. $24.83/hr to Max. $39.74/hr – based on relevant experience
Full Time (40/hr/wk) working Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts with flexible hours ( Travel to other Texas Health Entities required approximately 2 days a week)
Under appropriate and progressive supervision of a Qualified Medical Physicist, collects performance data from xray devices and installations. Reports results for final interpretation by a Qualified Medical Physicist.
Assists with ensuring compliance for licenses, registrations, and accreditations managed by THR entities. Tasks to include: radiation-protective apparel safety checks; xray and laser device inventory; radiation dosimeter processing and record review; radioactive waste storage accountability; radioactive materials shipping and receiving
Assists with radiation dose and quality metric monitoring programs at THR. Tasks to include: data management, configuration, and reporting of radiation-related quality metrics within THR's Radiation Dose Monitoring Software (RDMS), and/or other data sources; facilitate reporting of dose and quality metrics, to external agencies and databases, when applicable
Supports patient cases where radioactive materials are used. Tasks to include: maintaining continuous accountability of radioactive materials before, during and after patient cases; ensuring documentation of authorized use; completing associated surveys within the radiation use area
Other duties, as assigned
Bachelor's Degree Physics, Chemistry or Biology w/curriculum that includes laboratory measurement and/or principles of radiation use Required
Bachelor's Degree Radiological Sciences or related field w/certification as a Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Radiation Therapist Required
Associate's Degree Radiological Sciences or related field w/certification as a Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Radiation Therapist Required
Other Graduate of accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine w/certification as a Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Radiation Therapist Required
No experience required with Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry or Biology Required
2 Years experience as Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Radiation Therapist with certification without Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry or Biology Required
Licenses and Certifications
DL - Drivers License Upon Hire Requrired
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R, NM or Radiation Therapy without Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry or Biology Upon Hire Required
CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist without Bachelor's degree in Physics, Chemistry or Biology Upon Hire Required
