Responsibilities

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Manager - Empowered To Serve (ETS) in our dynamic Health Equity & National Partnerships department! This position is based out of our National Center office located in Dallas, TX!

This individual will be responsible for acting as consultant to customers/clients or AHA Region staff leading community-based ETS programs including development of ETS materials and collateral, development and distribution of communications and messaging content, providing reports and analysis of associated metrics, detailing and reviewing multiple restricted ETS budgets and leading partner communications

  • Act as liaison contact/consultant to AHA staff implementing community informative ETS programs. Partner with participants (regions, community organizations, volunteers) to train them on assigned program activities. Build, maintain, and refresh support resources and provide ongoing support on a day to day basis.

  • Collaborate with assigned marketing team to develop and distribute program materials, guidelines, training materials, collateral, and associated marketing-communications plans. Develop and maintain quality relationships with all vendors for the project and coordinate production and distribution of program equipment (e.g. kiosks, on-site demonstrations) and materials.

  • Ensure activities align with sponsorship commitments. Review and analyze program initiatives to align with contractual obligations. Develop and evaluate performance metric(s), program participation or related reporting requirements.

  • Act as a primary liaison to all internal AHA departments and external vendors as needed to ensure that all projects remain on schedule to meet deadlines. Coordinate, review, and supervise budget associated with assigned program.

  • Recruit, engage, communicate, and support relationships with program volunteers. Coordinate calendars, meetings, status reports and communication for program updates.

  • Support the ETS Lead in tactical execution of priority projects (defined as: Business Accelerator, Scholars, community engagement primarily via the faith-based channel)

  • Development and ongoing support of alumni networks to improve impact of Business Accelerator and Scholars program

  • Lead execution of day to day activities to drive ETS platform growth (i.e. email acquisition and database engagement, digital content strategy)

  • Development of resources and assets for strategic alliance partners, Scholars and Business Accelerator participants

  • Lead execution against funder agreements to support ETS priority projects (i.e. national webinars, resource development, mar-comm campaigns)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or public health related area

  • Two (2) to five (5) years proven ability in the related field

  • Experience with experiential marketing from community programming through national events

  • Experience in vendor management, contract delivery and scope of work development

  • Ability to “train the trainer” in logistics, event planning or related area

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for various settings: vendors, sponsors, internal groups, and presentation writing

  • Ability to take care of shifting priorities, and to remain calm during hectic or heavy workload periods

  • Here are the preferred experiences

  • Ability to understand and interpret capabilities/limitations to sponsors, work groups and others

  • Ability to self-direct daily activities and set priorities
