Texas Health Resources Laboratory Assistant - THPG in Dallas, Texas
Texas Health Physicians Group is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to work full time in their laboratory.
The address is located at 251 W. Parkway, Suite. 212, Euless, TX 76040.
Salary range is Minimum $14.24/hr. to Maximum $22.00/hr. – based on relevant experience.
Work Schedule:
Full Time; 3 rd Shift
Monday – Friday; 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Job Description:
Uses limited judgment to assist the Med Techs with sample workflow in a very fast paced, high volume, outpatient reference laboratory.
Essential Functions:
Loads laboratory samples onto instrumentation for chemistry, hematology and urinalysis
Closely watches instrument consumables and loads reagents/cleaners as needed during the night
Stores specimens at the end of the night using SSR
Investigates missing specimens during the night
Processes/Pull ADD-ON samples
Perform CLIA waived testing in accordance with all NPL policies
Assists processing department based on volume and staffing needs
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
1-year Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant experience in a high-volume testing laboratory preferred and
1-year Data entry experience preferred
1-year previous experience
Skills:
Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
Familiar with basic medical and laboratory terminology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
