Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM GBS Security Strategy & Growth (SS&G) is looking for a Global Net New Growth Sales Leader who can lead security services strategy, offering and sales design and development for net new opportunity creation.
This person will be responsible for leading security strategy, offerings and value proposition into client’s conversations and assemble a set of capabilities to win client's mind. You will shape industry security demands and complement with a set of winning security capabilities. You will also lead strategic campaigns and IBM Garage security interlock to raise security attachment rate and growth net new pipeline and increase win rate.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Owning and leading the net new security pipeline and capture management
Continue to advance net new security offerings and showcase to drive business growth
Act as a security SME and industry savvy leader to lead security discussion with clients
Liaison between GBS and Security BU to identify net new sales opportunities and pipeline for security solutions
Additional duties include:
Assess account demand trends
Identify key market demands and apply differentiating security solutions
Coordinate across GBS and SBU to harvest proven practices and reusable security materials
Establish security GTM materials
Build and maintain pipeline of opportunities
Proven experience working and supporting key industries to adopt OCP, secure cloud migration and digital transformation required. Must have in-depth knowledge with industries such as Healthcare, Industrial, Finance, Retail, Government, Energy and Utilities and be able to translate industry/client’s needs into solution and operation design that is built upon IBM technology and best of the breeds vendor capabilities.
You should be passionate about types of technologies and trends such as SAP, ServiceNow, Workday, HybridCloud architecture, Cloud security, Edge computing, IoT and advanced technologies (i.e., Blockchain, AI, automation, intelligent workflows).
This person will report to the GBS SSG team. They will work with various IBM entities including GBS, IBM Security Business Unit, Research, Systems and across functional teams such as the GBS Garage, Cloud Campaign team, Geo Partner/Associate Partners and training, marketing and communication leads. They will also interact with IBM CSPs and other independent vendors.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
At least 10 years experience in cybersecurity and IT sales
At least 10 years experiences as a security sales or consultant for industries in global government and/or private sector
Breadth and depth of knowledge in multiple cloud platforms including the use of Red Hat Open Shift technologies, AI, Intelligence workflow and digital transformation
Ability to lead or contribute to Design Thinking, Garage, and other collaborative workshops to generate new sales
Experience in selling value-added security services and leading the offerings to meet market demands
Current knowledge of the security trends, regulations, threat landscape, and technology advancement
Experience in leading security operations, CISO, or other corporate security functions
Strong technical security knowledge and ability to collaborate and incorporate into GBS opportunities that are applicable to the IBM differentiators such as Red Hat Open Shift Platform
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Strong cloud architecture design experience, system engineering, security audit, and team management
3-5 years experience in Cloud security architecture solutions and cloud security applications
Security certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) and one other business management or technical credential (PMP, Red Hat, AWS, Google, etc.)
