The veterinary technician is the primary support to our doctors and patients. They must be able to pay attention to detail, respond quickly and calmly to crises, and maintain very high standards of patient care. In addition, the veterinary technician must be able to communicate well with clients, showing care and concern for their pets. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: drawing blood, performing catheterizations, perform routine laboratory analyses, administer and monitor anesthesia under doctor guidance, perform routine dental cleanings, prep for and assist in surgery, assist in exam rooms including medical history and vitals, provide client education, maintain pharmacy records and fill prescriptions, take radiographs, administer medications.
