About the Job

In this system engineering intern role, you’ll be part of the device development team and will work on the following:

• Understanding and optimizing the opto-electronic device performance based on TCAD simulations and Si experiments

• Verifying and refining TCAD simulations based on measured device performance

• Providing simulation and measurement data for PDK model generation

• Competitive analysis through data collection and analysis

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Currently pursuing a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field

• Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA

• Must have understanding of and experience with system design, including writing IC design specifications, developing algorithms and creating system reference models

• Knowledge of signal processing tools (Matlab)

• Experience with measuring or characterization equipment

• Basic understanding of semi-conductor device physics

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with TCAD simulations

• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions

• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery

• Ability to build strong, influential relationships

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
