About the Job
In this system engineering intern role, you’ll be part of the device development team and will work on the following:
Understanding and optimizing the opto-electronic device performance based on TCAD simulations and Si experiments
Verifying and refining TCAD simulations based on measured device performance
Providing simulation and measurement data for PDK model generation
Competitive analysis through data collection and analysis

Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
Currently pursuing a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field
Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA
Must have understanding of and experience with system design, including writing IC design specifications, developing algorithms and creating system reference models
Knowledge of signal processing tools (Matlab)
Experience with measuring or characterization equipment
Basic understanding of semi-conductor device physics
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with TCAD simulations
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Ability to build strong, influential relationships
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
