RESPONSIBILITIES

In simplest terms, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading client projects and their outcomes, client facing decision making with other JS leaders, managing others? efforts related to the clients? project and communicating with the client directly. Additionally, the role will require some PR or communication support.

Account Leadership

  • Cultivate and build relationships with assigned clients

  • Service clients through developing strategic and tactical plans utilizing/fostering the services available at JS through understanding where a service or project fits within the larger scope of work for the client and how it contributes to the relationship (scope and time)

  • Oversee client budget, results and reporting for large portions, if not all, of the client business, in consultation with other JS teams.

  • Assemble and manage a team of cross-functional experts to plan and execute client deliverables with success, on time and on budget. Collaboratively activate JS services (PR, Creative, Digital, Performance Analytics, Paid Media and Brand) on behalf of the client

  • Serve as a thought partner, strategic peer and counselor for the client. Applies past PR and marketing experiences and original thinking to meet client challenges and goals. Monitor industry trends and apply knowledge proactively to client needs

  • Create informed and relevant insights or points of view for path to success (deliverables, team, timeline, KPIs, budget) both JS and the client on projects and assignments

  • Set and deliver project goals, budgets, objectives and strategies and steward the completion including individual contribution to the execution of the objectives

  • Facilitate communication between client and JSers as customized by client?s plan

  • Organize, facilitate and lead client and internal meetings as needed

  • Develop and/or deliver client presentations or communication materials

  • May provide guidance or mentoring to other through modeling the JS values, diplomacy and caring candor

  • Utilize constructive conflict methods and serve as proactive conflict-resolver

    Business Development

  • Cultivate relationships with new and existing clients

  • Participate in large new business pitches successfully as needed

  • Identify opportunities to grow business through thought leadership (either personal or cultivating others)

    REQUIREMENTS

    The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of agency experience leading and managing accounts of various size. Required experience includes, but is not limited to:

  • 5+ years' experience with managing integrated client budgets, preferably in an agency setting

  • Strong written and verbal communication, including messaging and platform/plan development. Has a successful record of compelling & confident presentations in person and virtual, utilizing a mix of presentation tools

  • Strong business acumen and experience with B2B and B2C industries

  • Mastery level experience with project management principles and tools

  • Experience with leading through inclusive language and behaviors, optimizing diverse team skills and creating inclusive team dynamics across multiple locations as the project leader

  • Experience with effective collaboration skills

  • Effective time management skills

    This role may require intermittent travel when business travel resumes.

    EDUCATION

  • Bachelor?s degree required
