Quality Control Supervisor – Dallas, TX
Kelly Services is currently seeking a Quality Control Supervisor for one of our top manufacturing clients in the Dallas, Texas area . The QC Supervisor oversees the Quality Control testing laboratories and monitors the inspection and testing of chemicals, bulk, and finished products to ensure adherence to established quality standards. This is a direct hire, first shift position.
Establishes inspection protocols, defines sampling procedures, and determines equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing process. Recommends changes in specifications of materials and products based on inspection results.
Oversees the in-house Stability program for finished products.
Also responsible for directing in-house Micro lab personnel.
Supervises the daily activities of the QC Laboratories with regards to inspection and approval of raw materials, bulk, and finished product according to established requirements.
Manage workflow, quality of performance, and training requirements of QC personnel.
Investigate, analyze, and support customer quality concerns.
Audit processes of production and manufacturing to ensure GMP guidelines are met.
Assist Quality Manager in investigations, complaints, rejects, and non-conformances.
Release Raw Material, Bulk, and Finished Goods in inventory system.
Provide support to production to meet product specifications and timelines.
Ability to problem solve and make challenging quality decisions.
Maintain documents and reports for all rejected materials. Follow-up with dispositioning of nonconforming items with required testing and final disposition in the system.
Assist Quality Manager and help maintain a process control database for statistical analysis and tracking of Key Performance Indicators.
Create Finished Good and Bulk COAs for customers.
Author SOPs, Work Instructions, forms, and other documents needed for GMP compliance.
Use Technical Writing skills and expertise to generate investigation, stability, and analytical lab reports.
Minimum five years of experience in a QC Laboratory
Experience in OTC/Cosmetic, Food or pharmaceutical is required
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent science related field
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook)
Technical Writing skills
