Baylor Scott & White Health Clinic Assistant Ortho Clinic College Station Job in College Station, Texas
The Clinic Assistant performs technical procedures and patient care services, to include some delegated medical procedures under the direct supervision of the physician. The Clinic Assistant prepares patient and equipment for examination or procedure to facilitate physician efficiency, and operates and maintains equipment safety in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Clinic Assistant will also have the following responsibilities:
Assists physicians and other designated clinical staff members in carrying out procedures.
Prepares patient for exam or procedure and assists physician in a timely and courteous manner.
Performs vital signs and POC testing as determined by each clinic.
Collects and records assessment data as directed by the Physician, Charge Nurse/Nurse Manager.
Maintains a clean and serviceable work environment to enhance patient care.
Participates in education and performance improvement activities to enhance quality of care.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an outpatient setting with direct patient care in a multiple-physician practice.

High School Diploma or GED required.
Current Basic Life Support Certification or must obtain within 6 months from hire date.
Previous experience in healthcare preferred, but no experience required.
