TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION Temporary Workforce Dev Spec I - III in CLEBURNE, Texas

Salary $2194.33 to $3345.00 per month DOE.i Job Location: CleburneTHIS IS A TEMPORARY STATUS POSITION WITH DURATION UNDETERMINED AT THIS TIME.Assists job seekers and employers to fill job vacancies with individuals who possess the necessary skills and experience for the job. Accepts and processes WorkInTexas (WIT) applications ensuring completeness and quality. Provides technical assistance in using WIT to obtain optimum results. Refers and job develops applicants to suitable employment. Assists applicants in developing quality WIT applications for employment by securing and recording information reflecting work qualifications based on experience, training, skills, abilities, interests and other factors relevant to proper selection for referral to suitable job openings; assigns proper occupational codes. Performs employment counseling and/or case management of applicants who present unusual placement and/or job adjustment challenges, especially during periods of high unemployment and stressed economic conditions. Interviews clients, and may use assessment tools, to assess education, experience, skills, interest, and other relevant factors to fully explore clients career development opportunities and possible training needs. Disseminates labor market information and information regarding Workforce Development Services, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Food Stamp Employment and Training (SNAP), Workforce Investments Act (WIA), Child Care and Development, Job Corps, Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) , Unemployment Insurance and supportive services.Assists employers in establishing WIT accounts, provides technical assistance in using the job matching system to obtain optimum results. Interviews employers for the purpose of obtaining job posting requirements, and hire information/status. Matches applicants qualifications to requirements on employers job orders; maintains contact with employers to take job orders, amend job posting information, and update tax information on WIT posting as needed. May assist in hiring activities such as job fairs either in the Center or employers local business or selected location. Contact employers to establish or continue working relationships to verify satisfactory placements of workers referred and stimulate the use of the total facilities of the local center; discusses ways to improve services and meet their labor market needs more effectively. Interacts simultaneously with clients and a computer system to capture, record and access information. Refers clients to jobs based on employers requirements.Workforce Development Specialist III (WDS III) - Perfoms complex (journey-level) customer intake, assessment, application, and eligibility determination duties for Workfoce Development Programs.
