Our team members are dedicated to expanding our business with committed professionals who share essential values such as integrity, excellence, teamwork and accountability.iInternship Summary:Kuraray Americas Inc. is looking for a highly motivated and innovative intern to join our Supply Chain team and contribute to the creation of sustainability practices. The Supply Chain team is responsible for all customer service and logistics activities for the Americas, across multiple business units and products. This role will assist in a variety of supply chain activities and is a great fit for someone who would like to develop their sustainability reporting and analysis skills while learning more about supply chain management. The position is located in Houston, Texas.iThe paid internship will be three to four months in duration for the summer of 2021 with flexible start dates. Student interns must be able to work full time.iThe program will provide hybrid/remote work opportunities for some positions where students will be able to work part of the time from their home and from the office.iThe internship will be split between a major project and daily tasks.iNo housing will be provided as part of the internship.iiResponsibilities:Assist in creation of meaningful sustainability reporting metrics for supply chain activitiesDocument data gathering, analysis, and reporting processesCreate a reporting manual with detailed instructions and templatesAssist with analysis of logistics activity from a sustainability and environmental impact, waste, and risk perspectiveDevelop alternative reporting methods and frameworksAssist the Supply Chain department in implementing sustainability metricsAssist development of decision support tools that improve sustainability outcomes in supply chain activitiesiQualifications:Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.Pursuing a B.S. in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or relevant degree.Completed at least three years of college education before beginning internship.Strong academic performance with minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and extracurricular achievement.Demonstrated excellent communication and leadership skills.Above-average computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Sharepoint, PowerBI, Tableau)Ability to communicate and gather input from various sourcesAbility to plan and organize the work and document progress clearly and conciselyExceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity.Must have legal U.S. working authorization to participate in the program.Must successfully pass pre-employment screening process.Must be at least 18 years of age.iPlease apply online at:i America, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer AA M/F/disability/protected veteran statusiNo third party candidates accepted.iFor more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
