Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation State Audit Specialist in Carrollton, Texas
The State Audit Specialist position provides auditing of recording fees on loans, obtaining proof of refund where appropriate, and ensuring loan is documented showing results of audit.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for auditing loan files to verify borrower was not over charged for recording fees
Contacts title companies to obtain documents and proof of refunds issued
Obtains recorded documents from other sources (e.g., county web sites, document services, etc.)
Provides receipts for any documents ordered
Uploads documents to the corresponding system once received
QC offshore audit results and documents
Support other departments based on business need

Required Knowledge and Skills:
Basic knowledge and understanding of mortgage loan documents
Strong customer service and communication skills
Required Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalency degree
1+ years of mortgage related experience
Demonstrated experience being resourceful and problem solving
Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and changing environment
Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, time management, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines
Demonstrated experience with MS Office software products
Demonstrated experience with high volume data entry
Physical Environment:
This position is primarily an in office position
Normal office environment
