Looking for a Land Manager to be based in Bridgeport, Texas and take a leading role within a small, nimble and dynamic land team, assist in managing our growing land position, support due diligence efforts and review land/title/contracts/agreements. This individual would create value through their expertise in subsurface land, and engagement and flexibility working in other facets of the Land Department of BKV Corporation and its subsidiaries, and their due diligence support within our New Ventures group. Details regarding this role entail:
Asset Management - Subsurface Land Manager (Barnett)
Work with Barnett land team to manage and maintain BKV s subsurface land position (tracking, organizing, curative, correspondence, etc.)
Assist with development and execution of processes & procedures surrounding asset and lease obligations
Expand and maintain lease footprint via farmins/farmouts, mineral and lease acquisitions and retention, support M&A efforts, permitting, and build necessary relationships
Work closely with technical and field teams to build development and workover inventory to meet economics and schedule
Work with Land Administration, Asset teams, and land support personnel to maintain Land Records System
Serve as Landowner and Mineral owner point of contact for communication and resolution of key issues before, during and after execution
Assists with compliance with government regulations related to regulatory pooling and unitization statutes; permitting; spacing and density statutes in multiple states, ensuring all State and local permitting matters related to mineral land are completed timely, thoroughly and accurately.
Prepare and present on Land-related matters at regulatory or permit hearings as necessary.
Ensure partner notices and participations are done in advance of execution and are planned/coordinated with Production, Development and Operations
Interpret and negotiate various contracts including joint operating agreements, pooling agreements, oil and gas leases, surface use agreements, right of way agreements, etc.
Assist with due diligence efforts
Interact with and provide operations and geoscience groups with land support and information critical to evaluating the of development of properties acquired
This role will be required to travel, at times, for reasons associated with both Asset Management and New Ventures
Specific background and profile:
Undergraduate or graduate degree(s) ideally in Law, Petroleum Land Management or Real Estate
Preferred 7-10 year(s) of experience as a landman
Preferred RPL or CPL designation
Excellent title examiner and project manager
Eager to work with cross-functional teams to evaluate acquisition, divestiture, and trade opportunities
Must be able to handle multiple projects and obtain results in a performance driven, team-oriented environment
Considered top of their class and could demonstrate this through their most recent ranking and/or employer feedback
Eager to move into a role and company such as this and can articulate why that is the case
