You will direct the month-end closing, reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable as the Bookkeeper. In addition, the Bookkeeper will perform data entry, perform cash applications, and full cycle A/P including some coding as well as light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation. Your responsibilities
Manage Accounts Payable
Organize subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Competent in credit card management and reconciliation
Aid with monthly accounting close
Handle Accounts Receivable
Assemble cash flow projections, as needed
Guide monthly accounting close
Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Prepare monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
More tasks as requested
Retain a general ledger
Requirements
Experience with Public Accounting
Quality experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Earlier work involving Accrued Expenses
Well-founded grasp of account reconciliation
Solid understanding of 10 Key Skills
Hands-on experience with Public Accounting Tax
Skills in Computerized Bookkeeping System
Account Balance experience
Good understanding of bookkeeping
Wide ranging experience with accruals
Previous experience working with Bookkeeping Functions
Prior experience with Public Accounting Audit
Proven knowledge of account management
General familiarity with Accounting Systems
Account analysis experience
Comprehension of Public Accounting
Experience with Account Discrepancies
Foundational knowledge in Account Coding
Practical knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
- 3+ years of related experience- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
- Noteworthy accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
