Comrise Inc. Sr. Enterprise Account Executive (Hunter) in Austin, Texas

The Senior Enterprise Account Executive (AE) is an outside sales role responsible for targeting opportunities for new customers and expanding the current customer relationship assigned to the AE account territory. Focus will be on prospecting, lead generation and referral partner development. We expect that “hunting and closing” new logos will be the primary responsibility for this role.

  • Must have strong prospecting / new logo acquisition experience (this is a hunting position)

  • Previous experience selling at a data center colocation provider is a must (preferably in a hunter/acquisition role)

  • Consistently achieve targeted sales quota

  • Prospect, qualify and close technical solution sales

  • Manage CRM – Manage Pipeline and forecast daily, weekly, monthly

  • Maintain 6-8 appointments weekly in various phases of the sales cycle.

  • Develop customer presentations and participate in customer meetings

  • Develop clear, specific, action-oriented account plans to develop prospects and present to leadership knowledge of your plan and business.

  • Engage the senior leadership team on client engagements.

  • Direct 5+ years data center colocation background/experience

  • Established network of contacts in colocation/data center industry in Austin or TX territory

  • HUNTER, previous success as a farmer need not apply

  • Will consider applicants with background as a colocation/telecom Agent/Channel partner. The idea is this person will have rolodex of prospects and database of existing install base of accounts. E.g agents from Intellisys

  • While there will be autonomy, this is not a work from home position (meaning we will require the employee to be in the office daily (except when she/he is visiting customers/prospects of course).

  • Dislike job-hoppers – e.g. reps that change jobs every 12-18 months

  • Territory - must be based in Austin and work out of our Austin Data Center/Office. 75% of focus is hunting for new logos. 25% existing install base. Territory focus is 1) Austin, 2) State of Texas, 3) Adjacent states to Texas, 4) West of the Mississippi – in that order of priority/focus.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Strong focus on achieving sales (bookings and revenue results; able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages -keen sense of urgency.

  • Creatively generate demand for firm's services.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in close team environment, self-starter who can motivate others.

  • Possess exceptional communication/interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient computer skills such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Effective Time Management skills


  • Four (4) year College Degree required.

  • Minimum 5+ years solutions selling in the datacenter industry. Preferably in the datacenter services provider industry.

  • Demonstrated and documented new account sales growth (plan and execution)

  • 90 Day Plan required through interview process.

  • Must have strong prospecting / new logo acquisition experience (this is a hunting position)

  • Previous experience selling at a data center colocation provider is a must (preferably in a hunter/acquisition role)
