Job Description Summary
The Senior Director, Growth & Strategy with CLEAResult reports into the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for driving the short and long term growth of the company in tandem with organic growth efforts. Working collaboratively with senior leadership, the Senior Director, Strategy & Growth will lead the inorganic growth initiatives of CLEAResult on a global basis. This includes cultivating and maintaining external relationships with relevant external partners, sourcing opportunities within banking network, negotiating and structuring, and executing transactions (e.g. acquisition, joint venture, minority investment, affiliations and divestitures) and all segments of the deal life cycle.
This position will be responsible for building and cultivating strong relationships across all Client Portfolio Group’s, leading the company in strategy, competitive analysis, M&A, financial planning and project management. This will encompass company-wide support of key strategic initiatives and will include the following:
• Leverage banking network to originate/source opportunities.
• Development of market intelligence and analysis of the competitive landscape.
• Business analysis of current Energy Efficiency emerging growth areas and potential new markets.
• Financial modeling and valuation of strategic alternatives.
• Risk assessment identification.
• Management of acquisition processes, to include target selection, deal execution, and post-merger integration efforts.
In addition to these accountabilities, the Senior Director, Strategy & Growth will support key cross-functional, company-wide projects that have been identified as critical to advancing the long-term business and operational strategy of the company.
Targeting and screening of opportunities via banking network, etc.
Drive assessment of growth opportunities, analyze current and adjacent markets, provide insights on key players, perform needed financial analysis and modeling.
Evaluates strategic opportunities and makes recommendations to senior management concerning tactical plans/strategies to implement new business activities; translates the recommendation(s) into action.
Identifies necessary reports and / or metrics to measure the effectiveness and validate the success of products and programs.
Develops and manages relationships with outside parties (potential counterparties, advisors, industry resources, etc.) as necessary.
Negotiates with external parties and leads due diligence processes where necessary.
Tracks business trends and identify opportunities within the marketplace.
Performs market research to determine financial viability of business opportunities and performs scenario analyses.
Develop and execute transactions carrying out financial analysis and modeling (including valuation and financial statement analysis).
Synthesize information and provide detailed presentations to develop and communicate business case for the executive leadership team.
Lead due diligence and integration planning.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Mathematics. MBA highly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in private equity or investment banking.
Minimum 5 years of related business development experience with at least 3 years in M&A transaction experience.
Must have a demonstrated ability to work with executives and be comfortable working in an unstructured environment.
Advanced modeling capabilities, including discounted cash flow, accretion/dilution, value capture, synergies and multiples analysis.
Must have a comprehensive understanding of and proven financial, valuation and analytical skills.
Must have the ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment.
Superior writing, communication and presentation skills are required
Strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and able to manage conflict, adversity and negotiate resolution.
Good listener who can glean the value from various ideas.
Maintains and implements an innovative approach to solving problems.
Ability to be adaptable and manage competing responsibilities and deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
