VMware Marketing Specialist, VMware Learning Americas - Opportunity for Working Remotely in Austin, Texas

Location: Flexibility to consider candidates across the U.S.

Marketing Specialist, VMware Learning Americas

This highly-visible and strategic role is the single point of contact for VMware Learning Services marketing plans and results across the Americas Geography. This function is responsible for maintaining multiple executive stakeholder relationships across sales, business units, the global license, professional services and field marketing teams. The Americas represents the largest revenue contributor across the global Learning Services business.


  • Integrate VMware Learning specific portfolio marketing plans into a unified Americas plan that delivers the desired business outcomes

  • Develop sales enablement and customer-facing content, specific to the needs of the America's geography, to drive awareness, preference and purchase

  • Represent Americas Field and Partner Marketing and Specialist Sales Teams at interlock sessions, planning meetings, localized events and QBRs

  • Coordinate among VMware product marketing and campaign teams to integrate Learning across Americas marketing across the entire VMware portfolio

  • Possess a deep working knowledge of all Learning initiatives, promoting new offerings and driving registrations

  • Build alliances and open communication channels across sales, operations, business unit, global marketing teams to develop best practices for engagement

  • Articulate to corporate stakeholders America's specific business opportunities, requirements, campaigns and performance metrics


  • 6+ years of experience in B2B marketing, including digital marketing or content strategy.

  • Product Marketing or Field Marketing experience a strong plus.

  • Education: BA/BS or equivalent experience

  • Collaborator with marketing, product teams, sales and partners who understands the value of organizational alignment in achieving long-term goals.

  • Deep understanding of the enterprise, buying patterns, requirements, and benefit articulation

  • Deep understanding of modern marketing techniques including ABM, multi-touch outbound, social selling, omni-channel nurture, predictive lead scoring, content, etc.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable in front of customers and executives.

  • Outstanding analytical skills

  • Knowledge of VMware and Enterprise IT competitive landscape a plus
