Job Functions:

  • Prepares time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.

  • Creates manual test cases to be used in testing business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design.

  • Develop/identify test data for test scenarios.

  • Execute test cases and documents results of the execution.

  • Document defects identified during test case execution and work with test leads and developers to resolve the defects.

  • Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews of test cases, test plans, and test case execution results.

  • Utilize all testing tools required for the project.

  • Works with test leads to resolve issues and validate requirements within their areas of responsibility.

  • Supports the client during User Acceptance Testing per the direction of the Test Lead

  • All other duties assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years hand's on experience designing, creating and executing test cases

  • Sound experience in healthcare, Medicaid, managed care, medical claims processing or member eligibility.

  • Experience across the domain of testing types/phases, including Functional, Integration, Regression, System, and User-Acceptance Testing.

  • Two or more years' experience in SQL.

  • 4+ years' experience with Mainframe processing - JCL, COBOL, utilities

  • Good to have experience with a testing repository product, e.g, IBMRational, Silk, HP

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

  • Experience in resolving test issues that impact project deadlines and deliverables

  • Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills to work effectively with team members, support personnel, clients and interfacing agencies.


  • Bachelor's degree required in business, computer science, engineering or another relevant field

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
