Cross Enterprise Services Quality Engineering team is a centralized Center of Excellence Quality Engineering group which is a collaborative group of experts that helps in setting up automation design, framework, process governance and tools standardization to help deliver quality in fast paced Agile methodology in a Continuous Deployment DevOps model.
The Cross Enterprise Services group provides trading business capabilities to Schwab’s retail and institutional businesses by developing innovative, unique-in-class investment products and are looking for a seasoned Sr. Performance and End to End (E2E) Testing Lead/Architect to manage and guide a major scalability program.
What you are good at
Single point of contact for key deliverables from the Performance & Quality Engineering team for a critical scalability program
Working in fast paced, agile environments and driving End to End/Performance Test Strategy (including defining Scope, Application Landscape analysis, Test Data Generation, Performance Monitoring) for complex and highly scalable systems
Leading a team of performance engineers directly or in a matrixed model to drive organizational performance and scalability goals
Manage and mentor a team of test leads to define, plan, coordinate, and execute integration testing between different application and domain teams
Creating performance test plans, test data, SLAs, analysis reports
Collaborate with application architects, business and technical SME’s to define and test application performance SLA’s and KPI’s
Identify opportunities to improve test capabilities and procedures to achieve increased efficiency
Provide Program Level reporting of End to End and Performance testing status/issues/risks to executive management
Tracks key QA milestones at a program level and feed into overall program milestones
Be responsible for test artifacts and documentation and audit compliance in alignment to organizational standards
What you have
10+ years’ experience in Performance Engineering & Performance Testing and 2 to 4 years in a Performance Architect/Manager role
Proven experience in creating, managing, and executing end-to-end delivery of test programs from ideation to closure in a complex technologies and business context, in a lead/manager role
Proven Analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively prioritize & execute tasks in a high-pressured environment
Expertise in frontend, backend or API and Batch performance testing
Experience in tool setup, performance scripting, dashboard integration and shifting performance testing into CI/CD pipeline(preferably Bamboo)
Expertise in Performance tuning - Application Level, Infra level and DB level.
Understanding of Infrastructure Scalability – designing environments to align to performance testing requirements
Experience in performance testing tools like Jmeter, Loadrunner, Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamic would be a bonus
Experience with one or more coding language (JAVA, etc) with some Development background will be an advantage
Strong management skills with several years of managing multi-disciplined high performing teams
Experience working and testing with complex trading and brokerage applications is preferred
