Your Role and Responsibilities
Digital Workplace Services Technical Business Development Executive
The Technical Business Development Executive is responsible for selling Digital Workplace Services (DWS) solutions to all levels within a client's business. They develop and progress new client sales opportunities, work with solution architects to design DWS solution recommendations for their clients, and provide technical sales assistance to other sellers involved in opportunity pursuits. While primarily focused on Fortune 500 companies within the local geography, this role is part of a global team and may get involved in opportunities anywhere around the world. The DWS portfolio includes services for end user support (omnichannel service desk & deskside support), desktop and application virtualization, device management, end-user digital experience management, workplace automation, and collaboration solutions.
Effectively communicate the capabilities and value of our Digital Workplace Services solution at both the technical and executive levels within our clients' organizations
Lead new sales opportunity development and qualification in partnership with client account teams and other IBM sellers
Develop and maintain strong client relationships
Provide technical sales assistance to other sellers who are less familiar with the DWS offerings
Develop sales strategies for new client pursuits
Team with solution architects and partners in the development of the technical solution which best meets the client's needs
Help qualify sales opportunities and determine if they are appropriate to pursue
Assist in the development of an opportunity pricing approach that will position IBM competitively with the client while ensuring profitable business
Lead or assist in the development and presentation of client proposals
Work collaboratively with other teams across IBM and with partners
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Deep technical understanding of modern, transformational approaches to end user services including support services, device management, desktop and application virtualization, digital experience management, and collaboration solutions
At least five years' experience selling end user services and 10 years' overall service sales experience
Proven ability to work effectively in a team selling environment and with external partners
Track record of successfully building and maintain strong client relationships
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within a client organization

About Business UnitThis position currently sits within Global Technology Services (GTS) Infrastructure Services (IS) or a shared services function supporting GTS.
As announced in October 2020, IBM intends that its managed infrastructure services business of the GTS organization will become an independent company named Kyndryl by the end of 2021, creating two distinct and powerful market-leading companies.
