Our Imaging Float Pool functions within Seton Premier Services (“SPS”). Imaging SPS employees are assigned as needed to the critical needs of Ascension’s hospitals around the Austin area, specific to your local market. Schedules and hours will depend on your availability as it matches up to the needs of our hospitals.

Becoming an Imaging SPS employee within our float pool allows you to gain invaluable experience within multiple sites, trauma levels, working environments, and schedules. It provides the flexibility you need, and increases your control of when and where you work!

What You Will Do

Perform computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.

  • Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

  • Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.

  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
