The Asset Controller - Eagle Ford at Equinor US Operations in Austin, Texas will assist the Eagle Ford Asset Manager on all matters related to investment decisions, performance management, cost analysis, forecasting needs and securing required internal controls compliance. Duties of the position include: ensuring critical follow-up of all commercial and financial activity at every level in the asset; supporting the development and implementation of asset strategy; facilitating the business risk assessment to optimize performance and ensure positive financial impact in the business; ensuring quality in forecasting and all financial reporting; supporting maximization of asset value through optimization of Equinor full value chain; ensuring commercial quality control and independent assessment of business decisions; assist in preparing action plans to maximize value and profitability; following up on improvement initiatives; monitoring and interpreting cash flows and forecasting future trends, as well reviewing and assessing for cost-reduction opportunities; effectively manage partners to maximize value for Equinor through reviewing financial clauses of Joint Operating Agreements, providing inputs to Equinor's audits of partners and other measures to manage partners' performance and costs; collaborating with Global Business Services Finance and Control (GBS FC) and DPUSA Controlling, Performance Management and Analysis (CPA); and collaborating with the asset team and other members of U.S. Onshore Finance and Control team. Approximately 10% travel is required to domestic locations and once per year to international locations.
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a directly related field, and 6 years of progressive financial analysis experience in the oil and gas industry.
Must also have 6 years of experience in each of the following:
(1) coordinating project deliverables;
(2) finance, accounting and control processes;
(3) corporate finance, including decision analysis, economic and commercial analysis;
(4) commercial and operational agreements, including Joint Operating Agreements and Purchase and Sales Agreements;
(5) fiscal and tax modeling;
(6) performance management; and
(7) experience analyzing large amounts of data using pivot tables, writing visual basic macros, and using Excel advanced formulas.
