Texas Health Resources Central Staffing (CSO) - an internal staffing agency - is currently in search of an experienced Women’s Services (Mother/baby, Couplet care, Antepartum/High Risk OB, GYN, Lactation) Registered Nurse. This Full-time position will work varying shifts. Must have flexibility to float throughout the Metroplex to a minimum of three (3) or more Texas Health Resources hospitals. At least one (1) winter holiday worked per year. The address is based out of 612 E. Lamar, Arlington, TX 76011 and will float to a minimum of 3 hospitals. Salary is $41.00/hour plus shift differentials Work Schedule • Full time: 36 hours/week, (3) 12-hour shifts/week – variable schedule • Varying schedule, mainly between the hours of 6:30PM-7:15AM • Weekday, Weekend and Holiday (1 holiday per year required) • Self-scheduling • No weekend requirement – Except when work the one (1) booking agreement per year (usually between 8-weeks to 13-weeks) on any unit, must work the weekend requirements set by the unit. Under the direction of the health care provider, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients. Ability to work with Mother/Baby, Couplet care, Antepartum/High-Risk OB, GYN and Lactation Services patients. Assist with initial breastfeeding education. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) is required. • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred. Completion of BSN within two years of earliest start date in a Texas Health RN role is required • Three (3) Years’ Experience with one year in the last three years as a clinical nurse in specialty area of position (Women’s Services – Mother/baby, GYN, Antepartum/High Risk OB, Lactation, Special Care Nursery RN experience) Required • Hold a current license to practice in the state of Texas as a Registered Nurse (RN); Single State or Compact State • American Heart Association BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required upon hire. • NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program required upon hire – Maternal/Newborn Nursery • IBCLC – International Board Certified Lactation Consultant - Lactation Consultant lactation nurses only and required prior to clinical work performed within 30 days of hire • AWHONN – Advanced Fetal Monitoring (EFM) prior to clinical work performed and only in OB and Antepartum OR • IFM – Intermediate Fetal Monitoring prior to clinical work performed and only in OB and Antepartum within 30 Days Required • Other – CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required Skills As primary care giver, candidates for this position will have the opportunity to stay actively involved in the total care plan through patient and family education. Responsibilities will include patient assessment, creating and maintaining a sterile and safe environment to include service as patient advocate. Initiate action to protect patient rights and/or preferences; adhere to HIPAA, Safety and Infection Control guidelines. Candidates will be expected to maintain and enhance nursing skills. Basic computer knowledge, excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Why Texas Health Resources?
