This position serves as an internal resource and expert
regarding the definition and interpretation of all applicable federal, state,
and local laws and quality or regulatory requirements related to Meaningful Use
(MU), Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA), Merit-Based
Incentive Payment System (MIPS), Accountable Care Organization (ACO), Group
Practice Reporting Option (GPRO), Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and any
future regulatory programs and requirements; duties will also include maintaining
documentation (evidence book) for attestation and audits for all regulatory
programs. The individual will assist with the development of comprehensive
implementation strategies, which will include coordination, monitoring, and
status reporting of all projects that are essential to the demonstration and
achievement of quality and regulatory compliance. The person filling the
role will help to protect against revenue loss from MACRA legislation
changes. They also have the potential to generate revenue through quality
payer metric programs from commercial insurers. Further, we would like
this analyst to assist in developing programs to bill for chronic care
management and Medicare annual wellness visits which are additional sources of
revenue for the University.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for managing/maintaining data for multiple projects or research efforts.
Assists in the design, development, testing and implementation of interface maps and logic to translate data from source systems to application system.
Creates, supports, and troubleshoots tools or software used to manage data.
Develops and maintains quality controls for all research databases.
Performs quality assurance functions consistent with standard software development methodology during pre and post-production.
Designs database queries and compiles, analyzes, and reports statistical data related to data quality for research projects.
Interfaces with vendors and offsite researchers and coordinators.
Other duties as assigned.
Detailed knowledge of query design, report creation, and graphic representations of data.
Knowledge and experience managing complex databases.
Experience providing analysis related to data quality.
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field or related experience in lieu of education.
Four years of experience with complex databases. May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215.
