Rockwell Collins Government Systems in Richardson, Texas is growing with multiple projects starting in our Strategic Command and Control (SC2) business area providing exciting opportunities for challenging work and career growth.

The Mission Systems Engineering team develops and produces a range of solutions, products and systems for a variety of SC2 aircraft and ground platforms. The team is seeking highly capable, proactive Systems Engineers with Cyber Security experience on a variety of programs.


  • Support teams of hardware, software, and systems engineers to develop, integrate and evaluate new cyber security technologies

  • Ensures system security needs established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, system analysis, systems design, and systems hardening

  • Assist architects and system developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information assurance (IA) functionality to ensure uniform application security policy and enterprise solutions

  • Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle

  • Support technical proposal preparation


  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

  • US Citizenship required

  • Candidates must have an active US DoD Secret clearance or have had one in the last 24 months

  • Five (5) or more years of successful experience as Cyber Security Engineering role

  • Direct working knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) is a must

  • Knowledge of military ground and/or airborne systems (HW and SW) and architectures developed with RMF requirements

  • Understanding and implementation defensive, offensive, and recovery strategies related to cyber attacks

  • Experience with requirements and design management tools (DOORS, UML/SysML tools)

  • Strong demonstrated capabilities in teamwork and project success

  • Experience multi-tasking in an environment with competing deadlines

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience in using change management tool (or equivalent)

  • Working knowledge of DISA networks

  • Managing projects using modeling base system engineering

  • Direct experience in U.S DoD Cyber forces

  • CISSP, COMPTIA or other professional accreditations are preferred
