Position Description:

This is a Product Developer/Business Systems Analyst position that provides technical direction/recommendations to create or develop new system functionality. This role will also provide Product Development support to the team, and may also analyze and evaluate business needs. To that end, we are looking to add a talented Business Systems Analyst/Product Developer to support the team and also own the development of various products from sketch to production. You will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and monitoring cutting-edge web applications for Group Retirement. We're looking for detail-oriented, creative engineers to build the world’s best web applications. In this role you will be responsible for building a component / module of an application. Must be able to evaluate user requests for new or re-engineered applications to determine their feasibility and time requirements and their compatibility with current systems and architecture standards They recommend solutions, develop, and build applications. Investigate complex systems and programming problems and recommend and implement solutions. Prepare software specifications in support of project life cycle. Perform and coordinate testing and debugging. May create and maintain automatic test scripts. May provide estimates for time of development and execution for finished projects. As part of this role you may also: Analyze and define business requirements and develop system specifications to solve business problems. • Manage requirements scope and escalate any issues as appropriate. • Partner with business and development to document complex business system requirements. • Research and analyze existing business processes and systems to formulate logical statements of business requirements. • Analyze and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution for system design. Participate in system projects. • Work on system projects that have complex functionality. • Work on projects with a broad scope, involving multiple systems. • Lead the system development life cycle from design through implementation. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

  • Receive design direction from creative team and take products from prototype, all the way through to production hand-off. - Responsible for ensuring multiple work streams follow best practices to create a seamless product - Experience building products for large user groups that are scalable - Create components / modules that are reusable across multiple product - Understanding of network stack, web server tuning, load balancing - Understanding of file system and network storage configuration We are looking for experience with Java, API, and Microservices. Other skills and experience include - - Strong understanding of web application deployment environments: IIS, Apache/Nginx, PHP/Ruby app servers, SQL, Memcached, Redis, etc - Take full ownership of products and keep timing on track according to the plan. - Proven experience building enterprise class applications that have been implemented for external customers. - Expert knowledge of system development and implementation - Proven track record of building native applications that have been submitted to the various app stores is a plus. - Experience in .Net, C#, PLSQL, Angular JS, Node JS - Experience analyzing and solving business problems through the development and implementation of business applications preferred.

Education Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) - Degree in CS, Engineering, MIS, or comparable technical field
