Our client, a top international Pharmaceutical/Healthcare firm, is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for a 6 month temporary contract with the opportunity for an extension. The position is located in Fort Worth, Texas.

The hours and pay for this position are as follows:

• Monday to Friday 8-5pm

• Pay rate is $50.00- $70.00

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

The Manager, Accounting is a leadership position in the Accounting & Reporting team and is responsible for Pharmaceutical (Pharma) Division accounting issues including: a Divisional point of contact in the FSC, select technical accounting, month-end closings, financial reporting, balance sheet review / reconciliations and liaison with internal and external auditors.

Manages general accounting functions and the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results. Has functional responsibility in area of discipline to which assigned (i.e. accounts payable). Includes hiring and supervision of employees assigned to functional area (usually supervisors and clerks). May have responsibility for recommending, or selecting systems/software which enhance performance of their area. Bachelor’s Degree, with 5-10+ years of experience in management and/or functional area which they manage. Interact proactively with functional areas in the Pharma division to ensure appropriate accounting and financial reporting is accomplished Complete and review account analysis and account reconciliations Month-end financial closing and reporting process Responsible for the delivery of service levels and SLA/KPI targets for the Pharma Accounting & Reporting function. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including divisional business colleagues, both internal and external accounting authorities/auditors, and Division and Group Financial Reporting and Accounting, and ensure appropriate communication with these stakeholders when questions regarding accounting/reporting matters arise. Ensure all processes performed comply with Novartis standards and policies (i.e. global processes, Novartis Accounting Manual, Novartis Financial Controls Manual, Management Authorization Levels, etc.).

Requirements to be successful in position:

BBA / BA - Accounting from an accredited university CPA preferred Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS (and GAAP), accounting and financial reporting requirements, Enterprise systems knowledge (SAP) Significant experience in financial accounting and reporting, auditing and financial process engineering, with record of strong control focus Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing and management skills 6+ years of financial experience, preferably in Big 4 public accounting, and the health care industry Shared Services experience preferred
